Can Poor People Own Dogs in New Zealand?

7.30am knock at the door.
Animal control standing there demanding to see a puppy recently registered
to my address. I said " I dont have a registered puppy here". The uniformed
officer had it all over me, I was in my dressing gown totally unprepared for the animal gestapo. She bantered on about me having a puppy, not having registered a puppy to Auckland City Council. I was confused staring at this animal police person and admitted through fear/confusion I did have a puppy but it was 6 wks old really sick and not old enough to be registered and had nothing to do with Auckland City Council, as the puppy had only been rescued the night before. So what is going on here. The gestapo pushed forward into my hallway demanding to see the puppy. I had no choice but to show this rude person the puppy in my bathroom. I felt totally invaded, I was totally forced to show a stranger from the street into my bathroom. She took one look at the puppy in my bathroom and backed out fast,apologising. Then she started reading my rights, insinuating I was hiding another registered puppy on the property and how I was in big trouble. She finally then said his name was "Little Boy", and I finally realised what she could be going on about. I tried to tell her it was a Council mistake but she obviously didnt believe me and treated me like a total criminal, saying she would check up on my story and get back to me. She never got back to me. So I am still waiting every day now for another vicious attack on why "Little Boy" is not here.

I told her "Little Boy" is not here because I paid $260 cash to save him from his DSSLTD
slaughter. DSSLTD made me register him to my home address even though I told them this address was just for one night, as they would not accept any other permanent address for his rehoming. I told her DSSLTD killed "Little Boy" the next am as I would not front up with a further $800 cash immediately to save him. I tried to tell the Auckland City Council Animal Gestapo, DSSLTD had killed the puppy and refunded my $260
cash the next day, so she needed to contact DSSLTD as to why they had not amended their
paperwork. The Gestapo kept on raving, so I ended up stating where the slaughtered baby
would have been permanently rehomed, and it wasnt where she was standing.So that involved me phoning the home where he would have gone, to explain the baby who was slaughtered due to the $800 cash deficit (on top of the $260 raised to save him) were
about to get a visit from the ACC gestapo to find out where Little Boy really was and that they would have to refer the matter back to me. Auckland City Council have not even yet contacted the couple who are supposedly harbouring our dead darling Little Boy.

Knowing the track record when ACC finally catch up on the paperwork we will all end up in court and have to battle this out by ourselves ( no laywer would dare touch a dog case like this) and try and prove in court DSSLTD had slaughtered our puppy, then show the $260 DSSLTD refund reciept for our slaughtered Little Boy and just cross our fingers the judge does not find all the people who thought Little Boy worthy of saving, guilty of harbouring a dead pupppy inhumanely slaughtered and burnt at the hands of DSSLTD.
